Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Technology, Industrials and Basic Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 0.56% to hit a new 3-months high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Hexagon AB ser. B (ST:HEXAb), which rose 8.49% or 36.0 points to trade at 460.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Autoliv Inc . SDB (ST:ALIVsdb) added 2.74% or 19.2 points to end at 720.0 and ASSA ABLOY AB ser. B (ST:ASSAb) was up 2.48% or 4.5 points to 188.1 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Svenska Handelsbanken AB A (ST:SHBa), which fell 2.80% or 2.79 points to trade at 96.83 at the close. H & M Hennes & Mauritz AB B (ST:HMb) declined 2.60% or 3.8 points to end at 141.9 and Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken AB A (ST:SEBa) was down 1.04% or 1.02 points to 96.78.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 316 to 311 and 54 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 0.80% or 0.43 to $54.09 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 1.10% or 0.68 to hit $62.66 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.22% or 2.95 to trade at $1316.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.39% to 10.4405, while USD/SEK rose 0.67% to 9.1745.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.19% at 96.002.
