Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Oil & Gas and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 0.55%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Svenska Cellulosa SCA AB B (ST:SCAb), which rose 8.87% or 12.20 points to trade at 149.20 at the close. Meanwhile, Hexagon AB ser. B (ST:HEXAb) added 3.79% or 3.90 points to end at 105.40 and Volvo, AB ser. B (ST:VOLVb) was up 2.93% or 7.90 points to 277.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Electrolux AB Class B (ST:ELUXb), which fell 14.61% or 15.20 points to trade at 88.70 at the close. Evolution AB (ST:EVOG) declined 4.66% or 51.00 points to end at 1,044.50 and SAAB AB ser. B (ST:SAABb) was down 2.66% or 6.30 points to 230.70.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 421 to 344 and 71 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for December delivery was up 1.82% or 1.28 to $71.47 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 1.79% or 1.33 to hit $75.71 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.02% or 0.45 to trade at $2,749.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.30% to 11.46, while USD/SEK rose 0.45% to 10.60.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.13% at 104.05.
