Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Healthcare and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 0.51%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb), which rose 3.97% or 8.2 points to trade at 214.5 at the close. Meanwhile, Hexagon AB ser. B (ST:HEXAb) added 1.79% or 7.9 points to end at 449.2 and AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN) was up 1.69% or 12.0 points to 721.3 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA), which fell 3.75% or 16.1 points to trade at 413.1 at the close. Skanska AB ser. B (ST:SKAb) declined 0.77% or 1.20 points to end at 154.30 and Svenska Handelsbanken AB A (ST:SHBa) was down 0.75% or 0.70 points to 92.82.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 349 to 274 and 62 ended unchanged.
Shares in Svenska Handelsbanken AB A (ST:SHBa) fell to 52-week lows; losing 0.75% or 0.70 to 92.82.
Crude oil for July delivery was down 0.36% or 0.19 to $53.31 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 1.05% or 0.65 to hit $61.34 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 1.36% or 17.85 to trade at $1328.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.17% to 10.6197, while USD/SEK fell 0.50% to 9.4460.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.52% at 97.162.
