Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Industrials and Basic Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 0.46%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were AB SKF B (ST:SKFb), which rose 2.29% or 3.5 points to trade at 156.4 at the close. Meanwhile, Sandvik AB (ST:SAND) added 2.11% or 3.15 points to end at 152.15 and H & M Hennes & Mauritz AB B (ST:HMb) was up 2.05% or 2.8 points to 138.2 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA), which fell 5.15% or 23.7 points to trade at 436.9 at the close. Autoliv Inc . SDB (ST:ALIVsdb) declined 0.88% or 6.4 points to end at 722.6 and Skanska AB ser. B (ST:SKAb) was down 0.60% or 1.00 points to 166.30.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 334 to 292 and 63 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for April delivery was up 2.32% or 1.32 to $58.19 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 1.21% or 0.81 to hit $67.48 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.85% or 11.05 to trade at $1309.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.38% to 10.5263, while USD/SEK fell 0.55% to 9.3108.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.22% at 96.688.
