Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Financials, Telecoms and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 0.45% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Hexagon AB ser. B (ST:HEXAb), which rose 2.57% or 2.70 points to trade at 106.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken AB A (ST:SEBa) added 2.53% or 3.85 points to end at 156.30 and Nordea Bank Abp (ST:NDASE) was up 1.71% or 2.15 points to 127.60 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Samhallsbyggnadsbolaget i Norden AB (ST:SBBb), which fell 3.73% or 0.13 points to trade at 3.42 at the close. Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIb) declined 1.11% or 1.90 points to end at 169.10 and Atlas Copco AB Class A (ST:ATCOa) was down 1.08% or 2.00 points to 178.80.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 454 to 312 and 77 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 0.15% or 0.10 to $68.44 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 0.10% or 0.07 to hit $72.24 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.74% or 19.79 to trade at $2,656.41 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.13% to 11.49, while USD/SEK fell 0.47% to 10.87.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.45% at 105.81.
