Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 0.45% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIb), which rose 14.73% or 12.7 points to trade at 99.1 at the close. Meanwhile, Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken AB A (ST:SEBa) added 4.77% or 4.34 points to end at 95.24 and SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) was up 3.53% or 1.20 points to 35.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Skanska AB ser. B (ST:SKAb), which fell 1.51% or 2.45 points to trade at 160.00 at the close. AB SKF B (ST:SKFb) declined 1.05% or 1.6 points to end at 154.8 and Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b) was down 1.00% or 1.15 points to 114.40.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 352 to 283 and 54 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 2.89% or 1.54 to $54.85 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 1.94% or 1.19 to hit $62.39 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.07% or 0.90 to trade at $1309.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.15% to 10.3797, while USD/SEK rose 0.28% to 9.0927.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.10% at 95.613.
