Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 0.42%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Swedbank AB ser A (ST:SWEDa), which rose 2.20% or 3.1 points to trade at 146.7 at the close. Meanwhile, Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b) added 1.64% or 2.05 points to end at 126.80 and ABB Ltd (ST:ABB) was up 1.29% or 2.4 points to 184.6 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA), which fell 3.01% or 14.5 points to trade at 467.7 at the close. AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN) declined 2.28% or 16.9 points to end at 724.1 and ASSA ABLOY AB ser. B (ST:ASSAb) was down 1.21% or 2.4 points to 195.6.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 398 to 238 and 54 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 0.11% or 0.07 to $61.77 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.55% or 0.39 to hit $70.78 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.16% or 2.05 to trade at $1287.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.17% to 10.8034, while USD/SEK fell 0.34% to 9.6172.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.06% at 97.102.
