Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Oil & Gas and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 0.39% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Essity AB B (ST:ESSITYb), which rose 9.40% or 21.50 points to trade at 250.20 at the close. Meanwhile, Volvo, AB ser. B (ST:VOLVb) added 2.90% or 3.67 points to end at 130.07 and Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIb) was up 2.83% or 2.8 points to 101.9 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were AB SKF B (ST:SKFb), which fell 1.91% or 3.0 points to trade at 151.8 at the close. Kinnevik, Investment AB ser. B (ST:KINVb) declined 1.43% or 3.2 points to end at 220.6 and Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b) was down 1.31% or 1.50 points to 112.90.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 322 to 313 and 54 ended unchanged.
Shares in Essity AB B (ST:ESSITYb) rose to 52-week highs; rising 9.40% or 21.50 to 250.20.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 1.75% or 0.95 to $55.18 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 0.89% or 0.55 to hit $62.09 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.81% or 10.65 to trade at $1326.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.14% to 10.3642, while USD/SEK rose 0.02% to 9.0454.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.18% at 95.203.
