Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 0.36%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa), which rose 2.60% or 0.63 points to trade at 24.89 at the close. Meanwhile, Atlas Copco AB Series B (ST:ATCOb) added 2.00% or 4.8 points to end at 244.9 and Boliden AB (ST:BOL) was up 1.59% or 3.25 points to 207.25 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Svenska Handelsbanken AB A (ST:SHBa), which fell 1.19% or 1.02 points to trade at 84.50 at the close. Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA) declined 1.15% or 4.3 points to end at 370.2 and Securitas AB ser. B (ST:SECUb) was down 1.00% or 1.45 points to 143.65.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 373 to 256 and 62 ended unchanged.
Shares in Svenska Handelsbanken AB A (ST:SHBa) fell to 5-year lows; down 1.19% or 1.02 to 84.50.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 4.04% or 2.22 to $57.15 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 4.56% or 2.67 to hit $61.24 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.49% or 7.40 to trade at $1509.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.52% to 10.6616, while USD/SEK fell 0.19% to 9.5414.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.44% at 97.627.
