Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Telecoms, Financials and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 0.36% to hit a new 6-months high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were ASSA ABLOY AB ser. B (ST:ASSAb), which rose 1.37% or 2.5 points to trade at 185.3 at the close. Meanwhile, Svenska Cellulosa SCA AB B (ST:SCAb) added 1.20% or 1.2 points to end at 105.6 and Alfa Laval AB (ST:ALFA) was up 1.15% or 2.8 points to 246.6 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Boliden AB (ST:BOL), which fell 1.58% or 4.15 points to trade at 258.70 at the close. Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIb) declined 1.14% or 1.2 points to end at 108.6 and Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb) was down 0.97% or 2.0 points to 204.6.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 357 to 265 and 65 ended unchanged.
Shares in Svenska Cellulosa SCA AB B (ST:SCAb) rose to 52-week highs; up 1.20% or 1.2 to 105.6. Shares in Alfa Laval AB (ST:ALFA) rose to all time highs; up 1.15% or 2.8 to 246.6.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 1.14% or 0.78 to $69.31 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 0.96% or 0.73 to hit $77.02 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.28% or 3.40 to trade at $1211.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.19% to 10.7066, while USD/SEK rose 0.17% to 9.1534.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.05% at 94.58.
