Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Oil & Gas and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 0.36% to hit a new 6-months high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Atlas Copco AB Series B (ST:ATCOb), which rose 3.05% or 7.2 points to trade at 241.9 at the close. Meanwhile, SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) added 2.64% or 1.07 points to end at 41.67 and Svenska Cellulosa SCA AB B (ST:SCAb) was up 2.30% or 2.4 points to 104.3 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA), which fell 1.49% or 7.3 points to trade at 484.0 at the close. H & M Hennes & Mauritz AB B (ST:HMb) declined 1.44% or 1.9 points to end at 131.0 and Telia Company AB (ST:TELIA) was down 1.10% or 0.46 points to 41.28.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 335 to 284 and 66 ended unchanged.
Shares in Svenska Cellulosa SCA AB B (ST:SCAb) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 2.30% or 2.4 to 104.3.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 0.26% or 0.18 to $68.69 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 0.22% or 0.17 to hit $76.67 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.09% or 1.10 to trade at $1214.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.60% to 10.6841, while USD/SEK rose 0.23% to 9.1150.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.24% at 94.44.
