Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Oil & Gas and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 0.36% to hit a new 6-months high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIb), which rose 6.40% or 6.4 points to trade at 106.5 at the close. Meanwhile, Boliden AB (ST:BOL) added 3.28% or 8.25 points to end at 259.75 and SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) was up 2.15% or 0.86 points to 40.95 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Autoliv Inc . SDB (ST:ALIVsdb), which fell 3.93% or 33.4 points to trade at 815.4 at the close. AB SKF B (ST:SKFb) declined 1.30% or 2.3 points to end at 175.1 and Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b) was down 1.00% or 1.15 points to 113.45.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 345 to 288 and 56 ended unchanged.
Shares in Autoliv Inc. SDB (ST:ALIVsdb) fell to 52-week lows; losing 3.93% or 33.4 to 815.4.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 3.19% or 2.10 to $67.94 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 2.84% or 2.06 to hit $74.69 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.21% or 2.50 to trade at $1202.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.11% to 10.5134, while USD/SEK fell 0.30% to 9.0696.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.09% at 95.04.
