Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Technology, Consumer Services and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 0.34%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb), which rose 2.02% or 4.3 points to trade at 217.3 at the close. Meanwhile, Kinnevik, Investment AB ser. B (ST:KINVb) added 1.68% or 4.0 points to end at 242.1 and Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIb) was up 1.35% or 1.9 points to 138.7 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Alfa Laval AB (ST:ALFA), which fell 0.85% or 1.4 points to trade at 168.9 at the close. Volvo, AB ser. B (ST:VOLVb) declined 0.82% or 1.10 points to end at 133.80 and AB SKF B (ST:SKFb) was down 0.80% or 1.2 points to 148.8.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 352 to 294 and 59 ended unchanged.
Shares in Alfa Laval AB (ST:ALFA) fell to 52-week lows; down 0.85% or 1.4 to 168.9.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 4.96% or 2.66 to $50.97 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 4.78% or 2.82 to hit $56.12 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 2.28% or 33.85 to trade at $1518.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.69% to 10.8047, while USD/SEK rose 0.52% to 9.6325.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.09% at 97.328.
