Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Telecoms, Consumer Goods and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 0.31% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA), which rose 2.85% or 11.5 points to trade at 414.5 at the close. Meanwhile, Essity AB B (ST:ESSITYb) added 1.77% or 5.10 points to end at 292.80 and Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken AB A (ST:SEBa) was up 1.37% or 1.20 points to 88.56 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Autoliv Inc . SDB (ST:ALIVsdb), which fell 2.80% or 18.4 points to trade at 639.0 at the close. Svenska Cellulosa SCA AB B (ST:SCAb) declined 1.48% or 1.2 points to end at 81.3 and SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) was down 1.33% or 0.43 points to 31.80.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 320 to 311 and 66 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was down 3.72% or 2.20 to $56.89 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 3.14% or 2.04 to hit $63.02 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 1.39% or 19.35 to trade at $1408.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.28% to 10.5329, while USD/SEK fell 0.36% to 9.3261.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.16% at 96.257.
