Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Telecoms, Consumer Goods and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 0.31%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIb), which rose 3.32% or 4.3 points to trade at 135.2 at the close. Meanwhile, Skanska AB ser. B (ST:SKAb) added 1.94% or 3.05 points to end at 160.45 and Atlas Copco AB Series B (ST:ATCOb) was up 1.75% or 4.1 points to 238.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Svenska Handelsbanken AB A (ST:SHBa), which fell 1.23% or 1.16 points to trade at 92.82 at the close. Volvo, AB ser. B (ST:VOLVb) declined 0.73% or 1.00 points to end at 135.45 and Boliden AB (ST:BOL) was down 0.70% or 1.55 points to 219.95.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 337 to 276 and 72 ended unchanged.
Shares in Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIb) rose to 52-week highs; up 3.32% or 4.3 to 135.2. Shares in Svenska Handelsbanken AB A (ST:SHBa) fell to 52-week lows; falling 1.23% or 1.16 to 92.82.
Crude oil for July delivery was down 2.39% or 1.28 to $52.20 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 1.42% or 0.88 to hit $61.09 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.36% or 4.75 to trade at $1333.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.15% to 10.5999, while USD/SEK rose 0.01% to 9.4360.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.22% at 97.213.
