Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Consumer Goods and Basic Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 0.29%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Svenska Cellulosa AB SCA ser. B (ST:SCAb), which rose 4.36% or 10.2 points to trade at 244.1 at the close. Meanwhile, SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) added 3.92% or 1.37 points to end at 36.30 and Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE) was up 2.14% or 2.40 points to 114.30 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Securitas AB ser. B (ST:SECUb), which fell 0.82% or 0.90 points to trade at 108.70 at the close. Boliden AB (ST:BOL) declined 0.77% or 1.10 points to end at 141.70 and Nokia Oyj (ST:NOKIA) was down 0.46% or 0.25 points to 53.60.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 245 to 196 and 2 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 5.73% or 2.44 to $45.00 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 5.14% or 2.44 to hit $50.01 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.76% or 8.50 to trade at $1131.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.65% to 9.4658, while USD/SEK fell 0.03% to 8.4725.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.53% at 96.25.
