Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Telecoms and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 0.28%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Svenska Cellulosa SCA AB B (ST:SCAb), which rose 2.16% or 1.6 points to trade at 74.6 at the close. Meanwhile, Atlas Copco AB Class A (ST:ATCOa) added 1.71% or 4.8 points to end at 284.9 and Sandvik AB (ST:SAND) was up 1.24% or 2.00 points to 163.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Kinnevik, Investment AB ser. B (ST:KINVb), which fell 3.55% or 8.9 points to trade at 242.0 at the close. Autoliv Inc . SDB (ST:ALIVsdb) declined 0.98% or 6.2 points to end at 625.0 and Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson Class B (ST:ERICb) was down 0.74% or 0.68 points to 91.40.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 367 to 256 and 63 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was up 3.32% or 1.70 to $52.84 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 3.40% or 2.04 to hit $62.01 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.74% or 9.95 to trade at $1346.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.00% to 10.6923, while USD/SEK rose 0.02% to 9.4753.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 96.947.
