Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Financials and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 0.27%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa), which rose 5.35% or 2.54 points to trade at 49.98 at the close. Meanwhile, Nordea Bank AB (ST:NDA) added 1.61% or 1.52 points to end at 95.76 and Svenska Handelsbanken AB A (ST:SHBa) was up 1.60% or 1.8 points to 114.6 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb), which fell 2.73% or 0.28 points to trade at 9.99 at the close. Volvo, AB ser. B (ST:VOLVb) declined 1.11% or 1.68 points to end at 149.07 and Skanska AB ser. B (ST:SKAb) was down 0.94% or 1.55 points to 162.85.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 301 to 300 and 59 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for April delivery was down 2.41% or 1.51 to $61.09 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 2.19% or 1.44 to hit $64.35 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.64% or 8.50 to trade at $1326.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.57% to 10.2354, while USD/SEK rose 0.58% to 8.2528.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.10% at 89.65.
