Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Telecoms, Financials and Basic Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 0.26% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Nordea Bank AB (ST:NDA), which rose 1.18% or 1.14 points to trade at 97.84 at the close. Meanwhile, Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA) added 1.15% or 4.2 points to end at 368.5 and Svenska Cellulosa SCA AB B (ST:SCAb) was up 0.79% or 0.7 points to 86.5 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIb), which fell 3.52% or 3.9 points to trade at 107.0 at the close. Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson Class B (ST:ERICb) declined 1.32% or 0.75 points to end at 56.19 and Sandvik AB (ST:SAND) was down 0.40% or 0.60 points to 149.95.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 338 to 263 and 62 ended unchanged.
Shares in Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA) rose to all time highs; gaining 1.15% or 4.2 to 368.5.
Crude oil for April delivery was down 1.58% or 0.98 to $61.06 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 1.25% or 0.82 to hit $64.67 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.38% or 5.00 to trade at $1319.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.16% to 10.1605, while USD/SEK rose 0.02% to 8.2438.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.16% at 89.97.
