Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Telecoms, Financials and Consumer Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 0.24%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Svenska Handelsbanken AB A (ST:SHBa), which rose 1.65% or 1.8 points to trade at 110.9 at the close. Meanwhile, Autoliv Inc . SDB (ST:ALIVsdb) added 1.31% or 14.0 points to end at 1084.0 and Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIb) was up 1.25% or 1.5 points to 121.8 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE), which fell 1.78% or 3.40 points to trade at 187.70 at the close. Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb) declined 1.54% or 0.26 points to end at 16.62 and Volvo, AB ser. B (ST:VOLVb) was down 1.36% or 2.15 points to 155.85.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 342 to 273 and 59 ended unchanged.
Shares in Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb) fell to 52-week lows; down 1.54% or 0.26 to 16.62. Shares in Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIb) rose to 5-year lows; gaining 1.25% or 1.5 to 121.8.
Crude oil for January delivery was up 1.18% or 0.66 to $56.62 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 1.39% or 0.85 to hit $62.07 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.86% or 10.90 to trade at $1255.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.39% to 9.9879, while USD/SEK rose 0.40% to 8.4694.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.10% at 93.62.
