Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Telecoms, Technology and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 0.23%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN), which rose 2.84% or 23.3 points to trade at 844.9 at the close. Meanwhile, Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA) added 1.87% or 6.9 points to end at 376.4 and Boliden AB (ST:BOL) was up 1.44% or 3.20 points to 224.70 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Svenska Cellulosa SCA AB B (ST:SCAb), which fell 1.92% or 1.6 points to trade at 80.9 at the close. AB SKF B (ST:SKFb) declined 1.30% or 2.1 points to end at 162.9 and ABB Ltd (ST:ABB) was down 1.20% or 2.1 points to 176.3.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 338 to 281 and 70 ended unchanged.
Shares in AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN) rose to all time highs; gaining 2.84% or 23.3 to 844.9.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 1.21% or 0.68 to $56.88 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.43% or 0.27 to hit $63.64 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.23% or 3.20 to trade at $1422.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.03% to 10.5726, while USD/SEK fell 0.12% to 9.4899.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.06% at 97.812.
