Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Technology and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 0.21%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were H & M Hennes & Mauritz AB B (ST:HMb), which rose 4.36% or 5.8 points to trade at 138.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson Class B (ST:ERICb) added 2.85% or 1.94 points to end at 69.94 and Nordea Bank AB (ST:NDA) was up 2.08% or 1.74 points to 85.38 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Sandvik AB (ST:SAND), which fell 2.06% or 3.20 points to trade at 152.30 at the close. SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) declined 2.03% or 0.94 points to end at 45.44 and Atlas Copco AB Class A (ST:ATCOa) was down 1.93% or 5.3 points to 269.7.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 376 to 249 and 54 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was down 1.69% or 1.11 to $64.58 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 0.69% or 0.52 to hit $74.82 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.17% or 2.20 to trade at $1277.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.67% to 10.3112, while USD/SEK rose 1.08% to 8.9083.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.33% at 94.72.
