Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Technology and Basic Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 0.19% to hit a new 6-months high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson Class B (ST:ERICb), which rose 3.57% or 2.70 points to trade at 78.38 at the close. Meanwhile, Boliden AB (ST:BOL) added 1.58% or 4.00 points to end at 256.85 and Skanska AB ser. B (ST:SKAb) was up 0.80% or 1.35 points to 170.05 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA), which fell 5.43% or 28.2 points to trade at 491.0 at the close. Atlas Copco AB Series B (ST:ATCOb) declined 0.76% or 1.8 points to end at 229.4 and Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b) was down 0.52% or 0.60 points to 114.35.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 329 to 320 and 42 ended unchanged.
Shares in Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson Class B (ST:ERICb) rose to 52-week highs; rising 3.57% or 2.70 to 78.38.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 1.86% or 1.26 to $69.09 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 1.91% or 1.43 to hit $76.16 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.75% or 20.90 to trade at $1214.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.46% to 10.5982, while USD/SEK fell 0.32% to 9.1130.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.57% at 95.01.
