Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Technology and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 0.18%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa), which rose 1.97% or 0.76 points to trade at 39.33 at the close. Meanwhile, Svenska Cellulosa SCA AB B (ST:SCAb) added 1.59% or 1.1 points to end at 70.3 and AB SKF B (ST:SKFb) was up 1.55% or 2.7 points to 176.7 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nordea Bank AB (ST:NDA), which fell 0.54% or 0.60 points to trade at 109.70 at the close. Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE) declined 0.51% or 0.90 points to end at 176.40 and Atlas Copco AB ser. A (ST:ATCOa) was down 0.49% or 1.7 points to 344.5.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 372 to 343 and 97 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 0.82% or 0.42 to $50.88 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.72% or 0.41 to hit $56.53 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.48% or 6.21 to trade at $1295.11 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.61% to 9.6042, while USD/SEK rose 0.79% to 8.1130.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.20% at 92.98.
