Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Technology, Financials and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 0.18% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Svenska Cellulosa SCA AB B (ST:SCAb), which rose 2.34% or 1.8 points to trade at 76.9 at the close. Meanwhile, AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN) added 1.35% or 10.5 points to end at 787.5 and Swedbank AB ser A (ST:SWEDa) was up 1.30% or 1.8 points to 140.7 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were H & M Hennes & Mauritz AB B (ST:HMb), which fell 2.09% or 3.1 points to trade at 147.4 at the close. Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA) declined 1.29% or 5.4 points to end at 412.9 and Essity AB B (ST:ESSITYb) was down 1.22% or 3.60 points to 292.60.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 336 to 275 and 72 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was down 0.70% or 0.38 to $53.73 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 0.84% or 0.52 to hit $61.62 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.26% or 3.45 to trade at $1354.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.01% to 10.6658, while USD/SEK fell 0.39% to 9.4968.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.43% at 96.738.
