Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Industrials, Technology and Consumer Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 0.16%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Essity AB B (ST:ESSITYb), which rose 1.00% or 2.80 points to trade at 282.20 at the close. Meanwhile, Volvo, AB ser. B (ST:VOLVb) added 0.93% or 1.30 points to end at 141.70 and Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson Class B (ST:ERICb) was up 0.82% or 0.72 points to 88.38 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Svenska Cellulosa SCA AB B (ST:SCAb), which fell 0.93% or 0.7 points to trade at 76.8 at the close. Swedbank AB ser A (ST:SWEDa) declined 0.79% or 1.1 points to end at 144.1 and Autoliv Inc . SDB (ST:ALIVsdb) was down 0.78% or 5.4 points to 688.0.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 326 to 308 and 59 ended unchanged.
Shares in Essity AB B (ST:ESSITYb) rose to all time highs; up 1.00% or 2.80 to 282.20.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 0.52% or 0.32 to $62.10 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.84% or 0.60 to hit $71.84 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.06% or 0.75 to trade at $1297.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.13% to 10.7499, while USD/SEK fell 0.08% to 9.5943.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.04% at 97.357.
