Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Telecoms and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 0.16%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Svenska Cellulosa SCA AB B (ST:SCAb), which rose 2.56% or 1.8 points to trade at 73.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA) added 2.00% or 7.2 points to end at 367.3 and Skanska AB ser. B (ST:SKAb) was up 1.73% or 2.45 points to 144.05 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were H & M Hennes & Mauritz AB B (ST:HMb), which fell 1.80% or 2.5 points to trade at 136.1 at the close. Atlas Copco AB Series B (ST:ATCOb) declined 1.62% or 3.2 points to end at 194.2 and Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIb) was down 1.18% or 1.0 points to 85.7.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 342 to 294 and 51 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for February delivery was up 2.88% or 1.34 to $47.94 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 2.29% or 1.29 to hit $57.55 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.43% or 5.40 to trade at $1259.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.43% to 10.3486, while USD/SEK fell 0.09% to 9.0624.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.46% at 96.123.
