Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Technology and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 0.12% to hit a new 3-months high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson Class B (ST:ERICb), which rose 2.09% or 0.95 points to trade at 46.31 at the close. Meanwhile, Svenska Handelsbanken AB A (ST:SHBa) added 1.86% or 2.3 points to end at 125.7 and Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE) was up 1.85% or 3.30 points to 182.10 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were ASSA ABLOY AB ser. B (ST:ASSAb), which fell 4.99% or 9.3 points to trade at 177.0 at the close. Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb) declined 1.82% or 0.43 points to end at 23.19 and Atlas Copco AB ser. B (ST:ATCOb) was down 0.94% or 3.0 points to 315.9.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 362 to 350 and 99 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 2.00% or 1.00 to $50.98 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 2.38% or 1.33 to hit $57.13 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.11% or 1.35 to trade at $1275.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.08% to 9.5283, while USD/SEK rose 0.53% to 8.1387.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.46% at 93.74.
