Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Technology, Financials and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 0.11% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Skanska AB ser. B (ST:SKAb), which rose 2.46% or 4.15 points to trade at 172.75 at the close. Meanwhile, Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA) added 1.59% or 6.6 points to end at 421.1 and Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson Class B (ST:ERICb) was up 1.49% or 1.32 points to 90.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were AB SKF B (ST:SKFb), which fell 2.01% or 3.5 points to trade at 168.2 at the close. SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) declined 1.67% or 0.53 points to end at 31.27 and Autoliv Inc . SDB (ST:ALIVsdb) was down 1.41% or 9.0 points to 630.0.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 375 to 261 and 59 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 1.19% or 0.67 to $56.92 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 1.63% or 1.02 to hit $63.42 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.88% or 12.35 to trade at $1420.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.21% to 10.5029, while USD/SEK fell 0.15% to 9.3140.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.06% at 96.330.
