Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Healthcare and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 0.10% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Svenska Cellulosa SCA AB B (ST:SCAb), which rose 2.02% or 1.6 points to trade at 80.9 at the close. Meanwhile, Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb) added 1.36% or 3.2 points to end at 239.1 and Swedbank AB ser A (ST:SWEDa) was up 0.68% or 1.4 points to 206.3 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa), which fell 3.06% or 1.10 points to trade at 34.81 at the close. Essity AB B (ST:ESSITYb) declined 1.09% or 2.70 points to end at 246.00 and Autoliv Inc . SDB (ST:ALIVsdb) was down 0.98% or 7.0 points to 705.6.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 347 to 289 and 56 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for March delivery was down 1.70% or 0.94 to $54.32 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 0.54% or 0.34 to hit $62.41 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.21% or 2.75 to trade at $1319.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.22% to 10.4053, while USD/SEK rose 0.37% to 9.0971.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.25% at 95.535.
