Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Technology and Consumer Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 0.10%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were ABB Ltd (ST:ABB), which rose 2.18% or 4.4 points to trade at 206.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA) added 2.16% or 10.8 points to end at 511.0 and Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson Class B (ST:ERICb) was up 0.92% or 0.65 points to 71.33 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa), which fell 1.27% or 0.54 points to trade at 41.96 at the close. Boliden AB (ST:BOL) declined 1.09% or 2.80 points to end at 254.95 and AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN) was down 0.74% or 5.1 points to 682.4.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 315 to 268 and 67 ended unchanged.
Shares in Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA) rose to all time highs; up 2.16% or 10.8 to 511.0.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 1.34% or 0.92 to $69.41 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.93% or 0.68 to hit $73.89 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.48% or 5.90 to trade at $1217.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.11% to 10.3007, while USD/SEK rose 0.16% to 8.9284.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.28% at 95.30.
