Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Industrials and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 0.09% to hit a new 3-months high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa), which rose 4.41% or 1.51 points to trade at 35.76 at the close. Meanwhile, Boliden AB (ST:BOL) added 3.34% or 7.95 points to end at 245.90 and Autoliv Inc . SDB (ST:ALIVsdb) was up 3.09% or 22.8 points to 759.8 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Swedbank AB ser A (ST:SWEDa), which fell 13.64% or 28.8 points to trade at 182.1 at the close. Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken AB A (ST:SEBa) declined 4.18% or 4.14 points to end at 94.96 and Nordea Bank Abp (ST:NDASE) was down 1.91% or 1.65 points to 84.70.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 319 to 311 and 59 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for April delivery was up 1.68% or 0.95 to $57.40 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 1.25% or 0.83 to hit $67.28 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.30% or 4.05 to trade at $1348.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.14% to 10.5717, while USD/SEK fell 0.12% to 9.2983.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.21% at 96.148.
