Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Telecoms, Industrials and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 0.07%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Telia Company AB (ST:TELIA), which rose 3.61% or 1.41 points to trade at 40.47 at the close. Meanwhile, Svenska Handelsbanken AB A (ST:SHBa) added 2.50% or 2.56 points to end at 105.11 and Volvo, AB ser. B (ST:VOLVb) was up 2.48% or 3.67 points to 151.82 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Kinnevik, Investment AB ser. B (ST:KINVb), which fell 4.72% or 14.9 points to trade at 300.9 at the close. Essity AB B (ST:ESSITYb) declined 3.30% or 7.60 points to end at 222.80 and Boliden AB (ST:BOL) was down 2.89% or 7.50 points to 251.80.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 324 to 292 and 56 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.03% or 0.02 to $68.28 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.12% or 0.09 to hit $73.16 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.51% or 6.30 to trade at $1224.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.08% to 10.3648, while USD/SEK rose 0.10% to 8.8580.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.11% at 94.35.
