Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Technology, Consumer Goods and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 0.06%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Essity AB B (ST:ESSITYb), which rose 1.79% or 4.20 points to trade at 238.90 at the close. Meanwhile, Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson Class B (ST:ERICb) added 1.18% or 0.65 points to end at 55.95 and Sandvik AB (ST:SAND) was up 1.08% or 1.65 points to 154.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Skanska AB ser. B (ST:SKAb), which fell 1.06% or 1.85 points to trade at 172.75 at the close. H & M Hennes & Mauritz AB B (ST:HMb) declined 0.88% or 1.4 points to end at 159.4 and Svenska Cellulosa SCA AB B (ST:SCAb) was down 0.86% or 0.8 points to 87.3.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 316 to 291 and 50 ended unchanged.
Shares in H & M Hennes & Mauritz AB B (ST:HMb) fell to 5-year lows; falling 0.88% or 1.4 to 159.4. Shares in Sandvik AB (ST:SAND) rose to all time highs; rising 1.08% or 1.65 to 154.20.
Crude oil for February delivery was up 1.56% or 0.99 to $64.56 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 0.79% or 0.55 to hit $69.75 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.27% or 3.50 to trade at $1322.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.13% to 9.7856, while USD/SEK fell 0.85% to 8.1307.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.51% at 91.64.
