Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Telecoms, Technology and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 0.01%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIb), which rose 10.68% or 20.00 points to trade at 207.30 at the close. Meanwhile, Telia Company AB (ST:TELIA) added 6.99% or 2.00 points to end at 30.63 and Volvo, AB ser. B (ST:VOLVb) was up 5.90% or 16.00 points to 287.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Atlas Copco AB Class A (ST:ATCOa), which fell 5.24% or 10.20 points to trade at 184.30 at the close. ABB Ltd (ST:ABB) declined 5.18% or 31.60 points to end at 578.00 and Atlas Copco AB Series B (ST:ATCOb) was down 4.82% or 8.10 points to 159.90.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 386 to 384 and 83 ended unchanged.
Shares in Telia Company AB (ST:TELIA) rose to 52-week highs; up 6.99% or 2.00 to 30.63.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.26% or 0.21 to $81.65 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.26% or 0.22 to hit $85.30 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.10% or 2.50 to trade at $2,462.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.15% to 11.54, while USD/SEK rose 0.38% to 10.57.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.28% at 103.73.
