NEW YORK, Sept 9 (Reuters) - Wall Street opened flat on Wednesday as strength in industrial shares after positive broker comments was offset by weakness in retailers after data showed a decline in weekly chain store sales.
The Dow Jones industrial average was down 13.07 points, or 0.14 percent, at 9,484.27. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index slipped 0.37 points, or 0.04 percent, at 1,025.02. The Nasdaq Composite Index dropped 3.04 points, or 0.15 percent, at 2,034.73.
