Sunrise New Energy (NASDAQ:EPOW) announced Friday that the company has successfully developed the latest generation of porous carbon-coated silicon anode material, boasting a capacity five times greater than the current artificial graphite.
This innovative material has the potential to enhance electric vehicle batteries, enabling a potential range of 1,000 kilometers.
"We are excited to announce the successful development of our state-of-the-art porous carbon-coated silicon anode material,” said Sunrise chairman, Haiping Hu.
The latest porous carbon-coated silicon anode material exceeds the capacity of conventional artificial graphite, marking a significant stride in EV battery technology. Moreover, it mitigates the substantial expansion risks linked to prevailing silicon-carbon-coated materials, guaranteeing improved safety and dependability.
“We are excited to move forward with the next phase of production and industrialization, from research and development to large-scale manufacturing," added the chairman.
