- Home Depot (NYSE:HD) stock fell 0.3% by 8:15 AM ET (12:15 GMT) after it reported a miss in same-store sales due to wet weather in the U.S. and a fall in lumber prices.
- Tesla (NASDAQ:TSLA) stock slumped 3.4% after a report from Morgan Stanley (NYSE:MS) said that the carmaker’s stock is only worth $10 in a worst-case scenario.
- JC Penney (NYSE:JCP) stock lost 8.7% after reporting a steep decline in comparable-store sales, with its net loss nearly doubling to $154 million in the three months ending May 4.
- Kohl's (NYSE:KSS) stock declined 9.2% after it reported a 3.4% decline in comparable-store sales and a lowered earnings forecast.
- Merck (NYSE:MRK) stock rose 0.1% after it announced it is acquiring cancer drugmaker Peloton Therapeutics for $1.05 billion in cash.
- Boeing (NYSE:BA) stock rose 0.8% as China Eastern Airlines asked for compensation for the grounding of the carrier’s 14 737 Max jets. The company also delayed delivery of future orders of Boeing planes.
