Investing.com – Sri Lanka stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Services, Telecoms and Power & Energy sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share fell 0.66% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the CSE All-Share were Selinsing PLC (CM:SELI), which rose 24.20% or 170.10 points to trade at 872.90 at the close. Meanwhile, Amana Takaful PLC (CM:ATL) added 14.29% or 0.100 points to end at 0.800 and Muller & Phipps PLC (CM:MULL) was up 10.00% or 0.100 points to 1.100 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Kelsey Developments PLC (CM:KDL), which fell 20.83% or 9.50 points to trade at 36.10 at the close. Good Hope PLC (CM:GOOD) declined 19.35% or 300.00 points to end at 1250.00 and Serendib Land PLC (CM:SLND) was down 11.64% or 172.40 points to 1309.30.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Colombo Stock Exchange by 105 to 61 and 57 ended unchanged.
Shares in Kelsey Developments PLC (CM:KDL) fell to 52-week lows; down 20.83% or 9.50 to 36.10.
Crude oil for January delivery was up 0.98% or 0.57 to $58.59 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 0.08% or 0.05 to hit $63.60 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.20% or 2.52 to trade at $1289.68 a troy ounce.
GBP/LKR was up 0.17% to 204.830, while USD/LKR rose 0.03% to 153.760.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 93.02.
