Investing.com – Sri Lanka stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Services, Telecoms and Trading sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share lost 0.56% to hit a new 52-week low.
The best performers of the session on the CSE All-Share were Amana Takaful Life Ltd (CM:ANTK), which unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 points to trade at 12.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Huejay International Investments PLC (CM:HUEJ) added 21.95% or 5.40 points to end at 30.00 and SMB Leasing PLC (CM:SEMB) was up 20.00% or 0.1000 points to 0.6000 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Good Hope PLC (CM:GOOD), which fell 22.77% or 266.90 points to trade at 905.10 at the close. Paragon Ceylon PLC (CM:PARA) declined 16.54% or 10.70 points to end at 54.00 and Lucky Lanka Milk Processing Company Ltd (CM:LLMP) was down 9.09% or 0.100 points to 1.000.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Colombo Stock Exchange by 92 to 65 and 59 ended unchanged.
Shares in Lucky Lanka Milk Processing Company Ltd (CM:LLMP) fell to all time lows; falling 9.09% or 0.100 to 1.000.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 0.16% or 0.11 to $68.98 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 0.50% or 0.38 to hit $76.88 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.34% or 4.10 to trade at $1220.10 a troy ounce.
GBP/LKR was up 0.16% to 207.975, while USD/LKR rose 0.09% to 161.240.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.11% at 94.57.
