Investing.com – Sri Lanka stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Information Technology, Trading and Healthcare sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share declined 0.39% to hit a new 3-months low.
The best performers of the session on the CSE All-Share were Kelsey Developments PLC (CM:KDL), which rose 14.89% or 7.40 points to trade at 57.10 at the close. Meanwhile, Swarnamahal Financial Services PLC (CM:SWAR) added 9.09% or 0.100 points to end at 1.200 and Anilana Hotels & Properties Ltd (CM:ANIL) was up 8.33% or 0.100 points to 1.300 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Adam Investments Ltd (CM:ADAM), which fell 25.00% or 0.100 points to trade at 0.300 at the close. Serendib Land PLC (CM:SLND) declined 24.75% or 366.70 points to end at 1115.00 and Multi Finance PLC (CM:MULT) was down 11.29% or 1.40 points to 11.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Colombo Stock Exchange by 115 to 61 and 56 ended unchanged.
Shares in Adam Investments Ltd (CM:ADAM) fell to all time lows; losing 25.00% or 0.100 to 0.300. Shares in Serendib Land PLC (CM:SLND) fell to 52-week lows; falling 24.75% or 366.70 to 1115.00. Shares in Multi Finance PLC (CM:MULT) fell to 52-week lows; losing 11.29% or 1.40 to 11.00.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 0.13% or 0.06 to $47.59 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.21% or 0.11 to hit $51.77 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.37% or 4.80 to trade at $1291.90 a troy ounce.
GBP/LKR was down 0.61% to 196.375, while USD/LKR fell 0.04% to 153.090.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.46% at 93.43.
