Investing.com – Sri Lanka stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Telecoms, Healthcare and Manufacturing sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share declined 0.36%.
The best performers of the session on the CSE All-Share were Kelsey Developments PLC (CM:KDL), which rose 24.40% or 9.20 points to trade at 46.90 at the close. Meanwhile, Convenience Foods (Lanka) PLC (CM:SOY) added 14.29% or 50.00 points to end at 399.90 and Amana Takaful PLC (CM:ATL) was up 12.50% or 0.100 points to 0.900 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Serendib Land PLC (CM:SLND), which fell 15.64% or 231.70 points to trade at 1250.00 at the close. Swarnamahal Financial Services PLC (CM:SWAR) declined 9.09% or 0.100 points to end at 1.000 and Ceylon Beverage Holdings PLC (CM:BREW) was down 8.91% or 49.00 points to 501.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Colombo Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.
Shares in Convenience Foods (Lanka) PLC (CM:SOY) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 14.29% or 50.00 to 399.90. Shares in Ceylon Beverage Holdings PLC (CM:BREW) fell to 52-week lows; falling 8.91% or 49.00 to 501.00.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.40% or 0.21 to $52.09 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.73% or 0.42 to hit $58.30 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.29% or 3.79 to trade at $1282.41 a troy ounce.
GBP/LKR was up 0.03% to 202.570, while USD/LKR fell 0.06% to 153.545.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.15% at 93.50.
