Investing.com – Sri Lanka stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Trading, Diversified Holdings and Construction & Engineering sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share fell 0.35%.
The best performers of the session on the CSE All-Share were Adam Investments Ltd (CM:ADAM), which rose 50.00% or 0.100 points to trade at 0.300 at the close. Meanwhile, Lighthouse Hotel PLC (CM:LHL) added 18.53% or 6.80 points to end at 43.50 and Convenience Foods (Lanka) PLC (CM:SOY) was up 15.38% or 50.00 points to 375.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Agalawatte Plantations PLC (CM:AGAL), which fell 13.81% or 2.90 points to trade at 18.10 at the close. Hunter & Company PLC (CM:HUNT) declined 13.66% or 64.90 points to end at 410.10 and Beruwala Resorts PLC (CM:BERU) was down 12.50% or 0.100 points to 0.700.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Colombo Stock Exchange by 87 to 79 and 48 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for February delivery was down 0.44% or 0.28 to $63.52 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 0.13% or 0.09 to hit $69.17 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.79% or 10.40 to trade at $1332.90 a troy ounce.
GBP/LKR was up 0.59% to 209.435, while USD/LKR rose 0.03% to 153.810.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.58% at 91.13.
