Investing.com – Sri Lanka stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Footwear & Textile, Trading and Investment Trust sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share fell 0.33%.
The best performers of the session on the CSE All-Share were Adam Investments Ltd (CM:ADAM), which rose 50.00% or 0.100 points to trade at 0.300 at the close. Meanwhile, Nanda Investments and Finance PLC (CM:NAND) added 24.93% or 8.60 points to end at 43.10 and SMB Leasing PLC (CM:SEMB) was up 20.00% or 0.1000 points to 0.6000 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Serendib Land PLC (CM:SLND), which fell 18.94% or 280.70 points to trade at 1201.00 at the close. Blue Diamonds Jewellery Worldwide PLC (CM:BLUE) declined 11.11% or 0.100 points to end at 0.800 and Beruwala Resorts PLC (CM:BERU) was down 11.11% or 0.100 points to 0.800.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Colombo Stock Exchange by 99 to 72 and 48 ended unchanged.
Shares in Blue Diamonds Jewellery Worldwide PLC (CM:BLUE) fell to 52-week lows; losing 11.11% or 0.100 to 0.800.
Crude oil for June delivery was down 1.30% or 0.92 to $69.81 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 1.02% or 0.78 to hit $75.39 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.32% or 4.20 to trade at $1309.90 a troy ounce.
GBP/LKR was down 0.34% to 212.960, while USD/LKR rose 0.03% to 157.560.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.31% at 92.90.
