Investing.com – Sri Lanka stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Healthcare, Construction & Engineering and Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share lost 0.26%.
The best performers of the session on the CSE All-Share were Adam Investments Ltd (CM:ADAM), which rose 50.00% or 0.100 points to trade at 0.300 at the close. Meanwhile, Nanda Investments and Finance PLC (CM:NAND) added 25.00% or 6.90 points to end at 34.50 and Capital Alliance Finance PLC (CM:CAFL) was up 24.95% or 12.60 points to 63.10 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were George Steuart Finance Ltd (CM:GEOR), which fell 10.88% or 2.60 points to trade at 21.30 at the close. Amana Takaful Life Ltd (CM:ANTK) declined 7.14% or 0.10 points to end at 1.30 and Lanka Hospitals Corporation PLC (CM:LHCL) was down 6.30% or 3.70 points to 55.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Colombo Stock Exchange by 82 to 81 and 58 ended unchanged.
Shares in Capital Alliance Finance PLC (CM:CAFL) rose to all time highs; gaining 24.95% or 12.60 to 63.10. Shares in Lanka Hospitals Corporation PLC (CM:LHCL) fell to 52-week lows; falling 6.30% or 3.70 to 55.00.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 0.34% or 0.23 to $68.66 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.35% or 0.26 to hit $73.88 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.11% or 1.40 to trade at $1311.30 a troy ounce.
GBP/LKR was up 0.04% to 214.145, while USD/LKR rose 0.04% to 157.810.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.12% at 92.39.
