Investing.com – Sri Lanka stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Information Technology, Services and Motors sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share fell 0.26% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the CSE All-Share were Adam Investments Ltd (CM:ADAM), which rose 50.00% or 0.100 points to trade at 0.300 at the close. Meanwhile, Ceylon Printers PLC (CM:CPRT) added 19.77% or 12.30 points to end at 74.50 and Huejay International Investments PLC (CM:HUEJ) was up 16.79% or 6.90 points to 48.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were CT Land Development PLC (CM:CTLD), which fell 39.40% or 23.80 points to trade at 36.60 at the close. Nation Lanka Finance PLC (CM:CSF) declined 23.08% or 0.300 points to end at 1.000 and Radiant Gems International PLC (CM:RGEM) was down 16.47% or 4.10 points to 20.80.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Colombo Stock Exchange by 107 to 81 and 38 ended unchanged.
Shares in Adam Investments Ltd (CM:ADAM) rose to all time lows; up 50.00% or 0.100 to 0.300. Shares in CT Land Development PLC (CM:CTLD) fell to 52-week lows; falling 39.40% or 23.80 to 36.60. Shares in Radiant Gems International PLC (CM:RGEM) fell to 5-year lows; falling 16.47% or 4.10 to 20.80.
Crude oil for May delivery was up 0.94% or 0.60 to $64.14 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 0.99% or 0.67 to hit $68.09 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.26% or 3.40 to trade at $1315.30 a troy ounce.
GBP/LKR was up 0.54% to 219.630, while USD/LKR fell 0.01% to 156.090.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.27% at 89.77.
