Investing.com – Sri Lanka stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Healthcare, Information Technology and Investment Trust sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share lost 0.25%.
The best performers of the session on the CSE All-Share were Adam Investments Ltd (CM:ADAM), which rose 25.00% or 0.100 points to trade at 0.500 at the close. Meanwhile, Kelsey Developments PLC (CM:KDL) added 24.93% or 9.40 points to end at 47.10 and Union Chemicals Lanka PLC (CM:UCHE) was up 22.83% or 92.90 points to 499.90 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Serendib Land PLC (CM:SLND), which fell 17.32% or 256.70 points to trade at 1225.00 at the close. East West Properties PLC (CM:EAST) declined 5.43% or 0.70 points to end at 12.20 and Marawila Resorts PLC (CM:MARA) was down 4.76% or 0.100 points to 2.000.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Colombo Stock Exchange by 93 to 80 and 60 ended unchanged.
Shares in Marawila Resorts PLC (CM:MARA) fell to all time lows; falling 4.76% or 0.100 to 2.000.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 1.13% or 0.59 to $51.45 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 1.03% or 0.60 to hit $57.55 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.48% or 6.21 to trade at $1289.21 a troy ounce.
GBP/LKR was down 0.16% to 202.200, while USD/LKR rose 0.01% to 153.660.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.23% at 93.09.
