Investing.com – Sri Lanka stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals, Land & Property and Manufacturing sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share declined 0.23%.
The best performers of the session on the CSE All-Share were Capital Alliance Finance PLC (CM:CAFL), which rose 22.57% or 7.90 points to trade at 42.90 at the close. Meanwhile, Selinsing PLC (CM:SELI) added 14.12% or 86.60 points to end at 700.00 and Serendib Engineering Group PLC (CM:IDL) was up 14.12% or 1.20 points to 9.70 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Kelani Valley Plantations PLC (CM:KVAL), which fell 16.00% or 14.10 points to trade at 74.00 at the close. Sigiriya Village Hotels PLC (CM:SIGV) declined 10.24% or 4.70 points to end at 41.20 and Autodrome PLC (CM:AUTO) was down 10.05% or 9.50 points to 85.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Colombo Stock Exchange by 93 to 91 and 61 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for June delivery was up 0.34% or 0.23 to $67.48 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.12% or 0.09 to hit $73.04 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.33% or 4.30 to trade at $1311.10 a troy ounce.
GBP/LKR was up 0.48% to 215.650, while USD/LKR rose 0.06% to 157.840.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.11% at 92.18.
