Investing.com – Sri Lanka stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Telecoms, Trading and Footwear & Textile sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share fell 0.22%.
The best performers of the session on the CSE All-Share were Adam Investments Ltd (CM:ADAM), which rose 50.00% or 0.100 points to trade at 0.300 at the close. Meanwhile, Equity Two PLC (CM:ETWO) added 20.33% or 12.50 points to end at 74.00 and Paragon Ceylon PLC (CM:PARA) was up 17.91% or 9.10 points to 59.90 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Abans Finance PLC (CM:AFSL), which fell 15.11% or 3.40 points to trade at 19.10 at the close. George Steuart Finance Ltd (CM:GEOR) declined 13.66% or 3.10 points to end at 19.60 and Ceylon Beverage Holdings PLC (CM:BREW) was down 12.71% or 89.00 points to 611.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Colombo Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.
Shares in Abans Finance PLC (CM:AFSL) fell to all time lows; down 15.11% or 3.40 to 19.10.
Crude oil for July delivery was down 1.46% or 0.99 to $66.89 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.54% or 0.41 to hit $75.73 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.12% or 1.60 to trade at $1302.10 a troy ounce.
GBP/LKR was down 0.20% to 209.785, while USD/LKR rose 0.27% to 158.370.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.51% at 94.84.
