Investing.com – Sri Lanka stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Plantations, Information Technology and Motors sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share declined 0.13%.
The best performers of the session on the CSE All-Share were Taprobane Holdings PLC (CM:TAPR), which rose 13.46% or 0.700 points to trade at 5.900 at the close. Meanwhile, Printcare PLC (CM:CARE) added 11.11% or 3.40 points to end at 34.00 and Dipped Products PLC (CM:DIPD) was up 8.60% or 7.40 points to 93.40 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were PC Pharma PLC (CM:PCPH), which fell 50.00% or 0.1000 points to trade at 0.1000 at the close. Good Hope PLC (CM:GOOD) declined 19.35% or 300.00 points to end at 1250.00 and Beruwala Resorts PLC (CM:BERU) was down 12.50% or 0.100 points to 0.700.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Colombo Stock Exchange by 91 to 65 and 61 ended unchanged.
Shares in PC Pharma PLC (CM:PCPH) fell to all time lows; down 50.00% or 0.1000 to 0.1000. Shares in Beruwala Resorts PLC (CM:BERU) fell to all time lows; falling 12.50% or 0.100 to 0.700.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 0.14% or 0.08 to $57.94 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 0.41% or 0.26 to hit $63.06 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.02% or 0.27 to trade at $1291.93 a troy ounce.
GBP/LKR was up 0.05% to 204.440, while USD/LKR fell 0.05% to 153.660.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.08% at 93.08.
